However many of my friends have reported difficulty when trying to activate the recovery mode in iPhone.
So if you encounter difficulty in activating recovery mode in iPhone, you can opt to activate the DFU mode.
To activate DFU mode in iPhone, simply connect your iPhone to your computer and then open iTunes.
Once your iPhone is connected to the Computer, press and hold the Volume Down and Power buttons for a minimum duration of ten minutes, then release the power button only.
Do not release the Volume Down button.
If done correctly, you should see a popup message indicating that iTunes has detected an iPhone on DFU mode.
Now go ahead and release the Volume down button. And your iPhones screen will turn black.
Step 3: Restore your iPhone

Simply click the “Restore button” and then follow the onscreen instructions to restore the device.
